Today, my son dropped something on my keyboard. Off popped the 'p' key. The machine is out of warranty, so my only option is to knuckle down and fix it. After some period of fiddling, I'd worked half out, but was far from sure what I was doing with these surprisingly flimsy pieces of plastic.
I'm working in an office today. The internet connection went down. We were told that it was some BT issue in the ISP's data centre.
Then, a colleague pointed out that the internet was back. Strangely, the only people who can now connect are myself and this colleague who are using Ubuntu Linux. Windows and Mac users still have no connection.
Very strange.
So, I'm in the market for work.
You can see my profile here. My recent work has been very varied, including both Java work (helping to maintain our java web framework) and systems work (bash/python, automating the maintenance of our server farm).

Having moved to a new area, I found that Orange's mobile phone signal was next to non-existent. I contacted Orange, who did do a good job at trying to keep me - they investigated the local mast, sending someone there to look for problems, and so on. Their conclusion was that there was nothing they could do to improve the signal. As a last ditch offer, they offered me a free upgrade to a Blackberry 8900 (I have the Blackberry Bold right now) which supports UMA - mobile phone access over broadband - but it would be a fresh 18 month contract.
Over the last month or so, I have lost whole days of work due to internet connectivity issues. My wifi connection would drop unexplainedly. Pings would be 30ms to a remote host, then suddenly spike to 8s. Then my laptop would loose its connection with the router. Initially I spent time on the phone to my ISP trying to identify a network problem. Then, when I observed that pings to the router were just as bad, I realised it wasn't their doing.
