Today, my son dropped something on my keyboard. Off popped the 'p' key. The machine is out of warranty, so my only option is to knuckle down and fix it. After some period of fiddling, I'd worked half out, but was far from sure what I was doing with these surprisingly flimsy pieces of plastic.

So I turned to Google, and found this link. Now I truly believe you can find anything on the internet, including a site with a video showing you how to fix a key onto my one of the five types of keyboard fitted to IBM Thinkpad T60s.

With the help of that video, and some difficult fiddling, I how have a (hopefully long term) functioning 'p' key :-)
